"Insane" here's a guy that should know with first hand knowledge about being insane. The GOP/TP/NRA should build an ark and sail away. They make the human race look like idiots.

nrabad, we live in a republic, not a democracy. The constitution protects people's rights against the tyranny of the majority. It makes no difference whether 1% or 99% of people oppose firearms possession since it is a guaranteed right much like speech or due process. Your ilk’s refusal to read the 2nd amendment of the constitution makes the human race look like illiterates.

"Some think our insistence on enforcement is unreasonable. Others say we oppose reasonable restrictions on gun ownership. So let's talk about what's reasonable and what's not. We think it's reasonable to provide mandatory instant criminal background checks for every sale at every gun show, no loopholes anywhere for anyone. That means closing the Hinckley loophole so the records of those adjudicated mentally ill are in the system." - Wayne LaPierre

This will be yet another nail in the coffin of the GOP.

Sometimes the right thing to do isn't the instinctive knee-jerk reaction. Sometimes the right thing to do is nothing. There is no "gun problem" that can't be solved by enforcing existing laws. It is not the fault of responsible gun owners or their guns that the Sandy Hook or Accent Signage killings occurred. Those killers are dead now and there's nobody left to punish. It's a difficult reality, but it's time to just let go.

The Republicans and the NRA should never let their guard down on the issue of gun control...The liberals have proven over and over that they're capable of the lowest dirty tricks and deceitful tactics on both the national level and the state levels...The gun grabbers have to use deceit because the facts isn't on their side, and they know it...that is those liberals who know anything at all about this subject and not just echoing liberal ideology which we so often have seen. The democratic party now is not the same party of my parents, because the democrats have moved even further left.to be more and more progressive liberal ..and now much of our American traditions and values are being attack by these liberals including Marriage,abortions,immigration,guns...The older generations of demarcates would have been horrified of what their party has become. It's clear we have to stand up to those who will infringe on our 2nd amendment rights,or we will lose these rights forever. Those of us in Minnesota would do well in remembering those politicians who would take away our rights for no other reason then binging on political ideology, and vote these people out of office as soon as possible.

We, the gun owners and NRA members of America, don't oppose new draconian gun restrictions because we are OK with atrocities such as Sandy Hook and want to see more. We want to see less of those atrocities. But punishing lawful gun owners for the illegal actions of a lunatic who should have been committed, will not solve the problem. It will only breed resentment and mistrust of government and the anti gun control side. We need to allow teacher and school administrators, and/or volunteers who have carry permits, to carry guns in our schools. We put armed Law Enforcement at school sporting events. Why not have armed people in the school during classroom hours? Will it stop EVERY shooting at a school? Probably not. But it may stop some. Seat belts don't save the life of every person involved car accidents, but we mandate the use of them in most states now.
