The GOP only care before someone is born. After that they don't care if they need food, medical, education, shelter, are shot, abused, etc.etc. that all costs to much. Then after all that the answer seems to be build more jails.
So the bill's author exhorts lawmakers not to fear litigation on this piece of legislation, which violates the Supreme Court ruling on abortion. North Dakota taxpayers may beg to differ.
both sides of the political spectrum do their best to demonize one another. when conservatives pursue the things they want the liberals make it seem like the gop is imposing their will on the populus without their consent-and when the liberal legislators act they perceive it as simply doing what the populus wants. well, obviously the lawmakers in north dakota are reflecting what the majority of their constituants want. it's their state-they get to do what they want. it's called freedom.
Fine by me. They can have their "freedom" to do as their puppetmasters in the capital dictate, and I'll have my freedom to do as I please here in MN.
Stop this war on women. We can make our own decisions about our health care and our bodies.
I thought conservatives were supposed to be against Big Government and government intrustion into our personal lives. Guess they're really not.
What do they want, women dying from back-alley abortions again?
ginny6 - Probably. In the GOP view of things if a woman can get an abortion safely from a clinic, then she'll just be back the following month for another and another and another. If she dies in the back-alley abortion then she isn't "killing" all those other children she would have if she'd have lived. Makes perfect sense, doesn't it?
member11: i personally support roe v wade and believe all people should have the right to marry, including homosexuals. but the difference is that i understand that this country is based on freedom-so therefore i defend the right of the people of north dakota to elect who they want and vote the way they want. how come liberals think they're so inclusive, but only for those who agree with them? isn't that hypocritical? like we used to say in the 70's: i don't agree with you-but i will defend to the death your right to say it.

Dear North Dakota Lawmakers: So when your daughter gets knocked up by one of the oil rigging, sand fracking blade runner boys then where ya gonna send her?
