Twin Cities commuters are expected to experience another round of light snow early Friday evening after having a midday reprieve from the freezing rain and snow that slickened highways, freeways and side streets in the morning.

Be sure to fill up your bird feeders. Our little furry and feathered friends could use your help.

Although I won't generate many likes from this, I don't miss this garbage weather at all. My final Minneapolis winter, I fell on a poorly shoveled sidewalk, coated with ice and snow, broke a bone in the shoulder, and have continual radial nerve damage since that day in January 2011, requiring more medical care and an altered lifestyle. Unfortunately, businesses and homeowners do not take care of their walkways as required, and they get away with it.

I've lived here for thirty years and I'm beyond sick of this. I don't know why this winter has bothered me so much, perhaps the lack of one last year, but I'm tired of looking at a grey, monochrome environment. Bring on spring.....today! Now!

Hoping everyone in your neighborhood has an early Spring, a decent summer, and no measurable snow until November.

Is this the global warming that Al Gore spoke of? Next week's forecast Wed & Thurs night the lows are predicted to be 7 & 8 above. It is funny how Al Gore says something we can not see (but we can measure that it is shrinking) is causing the earth's surface to start w a r m i n g.... 7 degrees in late March is not global warming. I am just glad that I can read and can use my God given gifts of logic & common sense. I can think for myself, rather then letting my party tell me what to believe, what to think, how to feel.
