Thanks to all who worked so long and hard to make health insurance accessible to more Minnesotans!

Hooray! Really looking forward to using the exchange. Thanks, legislature! Nice to have Democrats in charge for a change.

I don't want to sound harsh, but will people who don't have insurance know how to use the exchange/computer skills/can't read or write/is it in all English language (hope so)/etc.? I have heard that signing up for this coverage is 17 pages. Remember a lot of these people are "low-income" and may not have access to a computer. Another question would be, how does a person sign up that is homeless? As I sit here at my computer, which will be obsolete next year, I wonder how I would sign up for this coverage. This exchange will be built as "build and they will come", however, many might be able not to come or want to come!

"intrusion into the private marketplace" .... Intrusion? Right now, the health insurance companies have a monopoly in this state and how has the price of your premiums been the last 20 years? If you get paid insurance through your employer, you have no idea what the rest of us are going through. Try it. If you have to, pretend you just lost you health insurance and slap in your information to see what you could afford to pay for pathetic insurance.

So, Davids has hope for this? I wonder how he voted? As for Obamacare, what has Davids and other republicans offered the self insured lately. Oh, I forgot, the market will take care of itself. Well, here's a news flash for him; it hasn't in the last 20 years for small business owners and the self-insured.

PS... I don't want government involved in health insurance either, but the simple fact remains that there are two industries that have pretty much formed a monopoly in this country and the middle class is paying through the nose. Care to name those two industries? No? See Time magazine.

Finally, is there any chance we can find out where Davids and the rest of the legislators get their health insurance? We would all like to know.

Finally another method for the Liberals to run your life. Nothing makes them happier as this will be one more way they will find to make you pay your "Fair Share". Oh, I see that it will be adminstered by Union members. Oh, great.

comment229. If you think prices have gone up in the last 20 years, you haven't seen nothing yet.

Once again the "liberal response gang have all written comments praising this fiasco called Obamacare. I bet not one of them have read 10 pages of this travesty being forced on us. Their leader Pelosi had no idea what was in it and admittewd it. This craziness will eventual fail and we'll be left with billions of debt because of the failed leadership at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. So keep writng boys and girls all the accolades libs...ignorance is bliss!!
