Bjugstad hungry for payoff as postseason begins

Gophers center Nick Bjugstad, who has four goals in the past three games, wants a big championship trophy from a tournament like his linemates won in high school. He has two shots left, the Final Five and the NCAA tournament.

Hopefully the team is peaking at the right time and will carry their top form into the NCAA tourney. Best offensive playmaking D corp in college hockey, four good lines, top end scorers, and a solid albeit freshman goalie. All the ingrediants are there!

Bjugstad will certainly be missed next year. I'm hopeful the Gophers can put together a nice string of wins. If they have to lose do it this weekend as missing the final 5 would not jeopardize NCAA bid. Go Gophers!

Now this is one gophers team that, if failing making the final 5, is still very worthy of NCAA bid. Wish I could say the same for our basketball counterparts.
