FORT MYERS, FLA. – It was a rough day for righthander Mike Pelfrey, who put himself in hitter’s counts and couldn’t find a rhythm on Thursday in a 7-3 Twins loss to Boston.

Another 30-40 pitches and he would have given up 10 runs. Another season with an entire staff of no. 3,4 and 5 starters. 90+ losses while the owners pocket $100MM.

I see that pitchers we wouldn't spend for are having great spring trainings, including Marcum and Dempster. Twins ownership should be ashamed for closing the wallet after tax payers ponied up.

The box score was deceiving and Pelfrey deserved better. The sun was in the defensive players eyes. He was fun to watch and really got after it.

He pitched to contact, that was the Twins way in all its pitiful glory.

Isn't Pelfrey projected as our Opening Day starter? My 69-93 prediction is looking a little optimistic right now.
