This is the right plan. With the innings limit, they can limit him in AAA and not worry about keeping them down in the majors when games are on the line, and abusing the bullpen that looks to be a little suspect this season.

I'd rather see Gibson figure it out in the majors than watch De Vries, Walters, Blackburn or Hendrik get bombed on a routine basis. Our pitching is going to be bad.

Why not go with Deduno as the fifth starter? This year is going to be a disaster anyway, why not give the last spot to the one guy (out of DeVries, Hendricks, etc.) with some upside?
