If it means destroying your environment, ecology and standard of living just to see your population grow, North Dakota is welcome to "winning" this race as long as they want.

Imagine that- a state that actually cares about creating jobs, along with low taxes and a business-friendly environment. No surprise that people and businesses are moving there, and leaving liberal Minnesota. While North Dakota lives the dream of freedom and prosperity, the liberals here in Minnesota continue on their foolish path of high taxes, anti-business regulations, and ridiculous tax-and-spend policies. Guess which state is going to succeed, and which state is going to turn into another bankrupt California?

North Dakota will go back to the wasteland it once was when the oil runs out. I was up there a few weeks ago and it looks like something out of Blade Runner. Crime, pollution, inflation, prostitution...horrible conditions.

The author acts like having the greatest growth is a "win". Perhaps he should relocate to New York City so he can really bask in all that humanity.

The one great thing about North and South Dakota is you won't get robbed by Liberals to pay for their pet union projects. People actually work for a living in the Dakotas.

It is a story with little value It is kinda of a so what? Most people know about the growth. I would be more interested in some human interest story, how the industry has affected the people, deeper reporting.

No thanks, I don't want to live in a camper trailer downwind from a refinery and a climate like something out of Siberia.
