An illegal hit by Anaheim’s Corey Perry knocked Jason Zucker out of the game, but Minnesota couldn’t capitalize on the power play.

Sad to see, but same ol' story. Discounting the Vancouver game, this team has scored two goals in its past two games. That's not improvement. This team still has issues scoring, and tonight it pi**ed away a game it should have won. Listen, if you can't even win three in a row at any point during the season, do you REALLY deserve to go to the playoffs? Something's gotta change or give soon. This one step forward, one step backwards is getting old. Whether this team has found an "identity" or not, we're still not reeling off any string of victories like a good team should.

I'm still trying to figure out how they lost this game.

Tough loss tonight. Wild came out on fire in the first period and should have been up at least 3-0 if not for Hiller. Could have sworn I saw some daylight on the Mitchell “no goal”. Very tentative on the 5 minute power play. Should have mixed it up with a 1-3-1 attack. Looked like they were trying to settle for at least the 1 point late in the game. Gilbert was brutal tonight. Hope Zucks is o.k. but he may be out a while. Perry will probably get at least 3 games for that one. Let's take it to the Avs on Thursday...GO WILD!!

Look at the standing rev/caferev. It's a log jam and probably will be that way for awhile. Heck Dallas was getting beat 3 zip by Nashville...the team the Wild beat so hold it off there partner

There were plenty of missed opportunities to win the game, but I put this loss on our barely adequate goalie! Backstrom was down and out of his net when he gave up the shot off the backboards and he was down, reaching lost on the winning goal. It's time to give our young goalies a shot because Backie will never lead us to anything meaningful!! Great effort for most of the game but they seemed to loose focus after Z's injury!! They're on the rise and should be fun to warch for years to come!! Go Wild!!!!

I don't know what game caferev saw but I just caught the highlights on the Wild site and that was domination. Just happens in hockey. You can dominate another team so bad and the goalies keeps them in the game and they win on a flucky strange goal. It happens...not often but it does.

The Wild players think the powerplay is time for a coffee break. Put some players on the ice who want to skate.

It's amazing how many fans are content with moral victories and almost winning. These are the only two things that mattered tonight 1. Corey Perry tried to decapitate Jason Zucker and Zucker will most likely be out for a long time. 2. Anaheim in on a plane right now with two more points than what they three hours ago. Every thing else is just filler.

Tough loss, first two periods were fun to watch though. Hope Zucker wasn't PMB'd and can recover alright. Also hope Ryan Getzlaf can stop balding so Corey Perry can have some more hair to grab.

lindy, the Wild site is selective. After the first period, there was no domination by the Wild. They were flat-footed, out worked, and one had that feeling the whole game that it was just a matter of time until they lost. If they play every game like the did that first period, we'd be solid. Regrettably, we don't.
