I'll bet a lot of people now regret voting no on the Marriage Protection Amendment. Most Minnesotan's don't want homosexual marriage imposed on society, but the left in charge is reading the failure of the amendment to pass the wrong way.

I don't regret voting no. I think gay couples that get married will set a good example for how not to have 50% of marriages end in divorce.

'Most Minnesotan's don't want homosexual marriage imposed on society' Why should we care? We don't not live in a Direct Democracy, the Founding Fathers warned about a majority rule Direct Democracy hurting the minority. They were right! If you, along with other Minnesotans feel so strongly about this then come 2014, vote your legislator out. After all, we don't live in Switzerland!

One thing for sure, any liberal democrat lucky enough to be representing a rural or suburban area will most likely be voted out their next time up if they support this. The notion of homosexual marriage is very unpopular everywhere in the state except for the big inner cities, and the majority of state voters are strongly opposed as we've seen in recent polls.

Wouldn't it be great to see that SCOTUS didn't have to turn over our discriminatory marriage ban law come June 2013?
