It was very out of line for the State of Minnesota to say that people shouldn't use TurboTax. Instead, they should have said that both sides were aware of an issue and that there is/will be a fix.

Last line of the first paragraph "...the company has resolved chronic software errors." "Chronic?" Really? This makes it sound like this software is continually full of problems. Which is clearly not true or it would not have risen to the status it has. Chronically poor journalism, I'd say.

overnunder....would you consider an error in TT that has been there for three years a chronic problem? I tried to explain it to them all three years and they just don't get it. When MN provides a form to perform a calculation on, you must use that form if you want to file electronically. You cannot use a blank sheet of paper and do your own calculations on it, regardless if your calculation is correct or not. TT doesn't seem to understand that simple logic. I gave up on them....tax act online understands these things.

Well it would be nice if the MN Dept of Revenue would update their website, Twitter and Facebook sites to announce that taxpayers can once again file with Turbotax! Their last posts are from either Friday 3/8 or noon on 3/11, and all say TT problems are not yet fixed. I'm curious why they're telling the Strib that taxpayers can file again but they're not updating their own websites?!
