I have been arguing for a long time that the DNR is no longer a friend of most people. People need to realize this.

I have been arguing for a long time that the DNR is no longer a friend of most people. - They are not supposed to be a friend of "the people." They are there for the environment.

Instead of calling themselves the "White Bear Lake Restoration Association" they should be renamed the "White Bear Lake Rich Owners Association". Nothing like restoring their lake levels for their exclusively rich homes. Conservation should be for the benefit for all, not for the rich few who can afford these frivolous lawsuits. Let the DNR do their job.

I'm sure that most of these people preach "personal responsibility" and complain about the "takers", except when it affects them and their sense of entitlement.
