Maybe the best championship game ever. Plantes behavior at the end of the game was unfortunate for Hermantown and their fans. They have no reason to feel any shame as they played an incredible game. The penalty call appeared justified.

PLANTE was completely right to stick up for his players ....that's his job In the last two minutes of a state championship hockey game you either you call both penalties(and there were two) or you call neither. The refs prejudiced the game with that call and non call and that is problem.

Amen bjmacc ! 1.Refs DO NOT (Should Not) decide championships, take them both off or swallow their whistle. 2. Marble Theory - They should have called holding on the STA player just prior to the winning goal. Then the marbles in the ref's pockets would have been even. Too bad a championship was decided this way. Call them all or call nothing & let the players decide the out come.
