Mr. Shaffer, it might be nice for you to write a piece that explains the actual cost to taxpayers/ratepayers for electrical generation from industrial wind. Doing so would cause a collective sigh of relief as the working poor and growing numbers of what is left of our middle class cannot afford the 40% rate increase they will see if industrial wind builds out to the level they hope in MN. As for this being necessary to reduce carbon emissions.......Germany is watching emissions rise despite their aggressive renewable mandate - while simultaneously watching industry leave the country.

More of MN gets a reprieve. Of course, meanwhile at the Capitol, HF880/SF763 seeks to INCREASE the MN RES from 25% to 40%. In testimony Friday utilities said there have been zero feasibility studies on the idea to find out if it is scientifically or technologically possible. And rate increases were estimated up to 40%. That should drive industry out of MN and increase energy poverty. All for the scinetifically baseless dream that renewable energy will make any difference to "global climate change".
