First, stop hiring people who do not speak English! Problem solved. If the workplace is so dangerous then adding works who cannot communicate is a very real problem. However, in the current marketplace; why not have a service in which a person can use their cell phone and get a live human person to do short translations? In an emergency no one has time to do text translations. I am sure that there are English / Spanish translators (persons) out there that could be made available for such a service. Hospitals (ER rooms and other medical facilities) would be prime candidates for a telecommunications service. Why have translators on staff if you only need a service once in a while? Such a service would be cheaper for hospitals and such than the cost of an employee.
