I am no fan of unions, but I have to say, I agree with the one's sentiment. You can't bring this stuff into schools, why can you bring it on an airplane? WHy do we need this?

Why would anyone need golf club, baseball bat, hockey stick, or knife on an airplane? It may be a little inconvenient to check these things but it is much safer for everyone.

As I recall, knitting needles are allowed on planes and have been for some time. Not sure why the 1-inch blade on my pocket knife should be such an issue to the flight attendants.

They say a pen is mightier than a sword...in this case, it is more dangerous than a pocket knife.
