Quite complaining about someting you have no control over. It's either too much moisture or not enough.

Nice to see a balance of the doomsdayer Spoden with Varland common sense.

Kuddos for good reporting. A breath of fresh air; I could not believe it to see this in print, "Varland said droughts are simply part of a natural climate cycle". I remember as a kid the Floods of '65 with snow up to the roof tops of our houses. That was in Big Lake, MN, not in the river valley.

It is only March 7th. Pretty good chance for some more wet and sloppy snow before the spring. These daily drought articles lose their scare value with each additional snowfall.

Wondering since when having a lot of water in the wetlands was a bad thing. Wetlands are one of the primary natural ways that water works its way down into the water table that we all rely on.

A mini drought compared to '88. Last spring was like monsoon season. The 50's for the most part were dry, but yet we had crop surpluses, because there were only about half as many people on earth as there are now. Maybe less than half.

Thank God we will be able to save the Ducks and the maple syrup industry. That make me feel a lot better. Nice story.
