What would you expect them to claim? They make a living off of our tax dollars and cannot be trusted to tell the truth.

Yes it is increasing because the employment numbers are lies! People without jobs but who received severance aren't documented, those who have run out of benefits not counted, the underemployed who had good jobs but are now working minimum wage jobs not showing up and the teenagers who would typically have jobs but don't because adults have them are not reflected. As I have told people the past 4 years; you need to be smart enough to look at what you are experiencing not what you see in the news to determine quality of life.

Wait a minute......Minneapolis is half way through a 10 year program to eliminate homelessness. How can a program the city is spending millions on NOT be reducing homelessness???? And please, don't give me the "it's a lot lower than it would be if we weren't doing the program".

Government and charitable organizations have put a lot of effort and money into ending homeslessness, and unfortunately it's not working. Volunteer work and efforts to raise money and awareness for any social issue are often more beneficial for the volunteers than the recipients. It makes volunteers feel good and gives the something to add to their resumes. The best form of charity is giving someone a job.
