Bakersfield police say no charges after CPR was denied to dying resident at elderly care home

Moral of the story: Have a "Do Not Resusitate" or living will order on file. This includes in your home if that is your wishes. Sounds like that was what this woman wanted but it caused this uproar because it wasn't communicated. This could have turned out even worse had someone resusitated her and brought her back and in worse shape than she already was in. Not sure what kind of elderly home this is where no one knows CPR unless every resident there signs something stating that is part of the deal with living there. However, there are visitors and workers there who just might want someone to try to save them! They teach CPR to high school kids, it isn't that hard.
