About the Green Wave: Power and depth will be East Grand Forks’ strengths. These tools return the Green Wave to the state tournament after just more than a decade away. “We don’t rely on one or two players to get it done for us,” coach Tyler Palmiscno said. “It’s done by committee. Different guys step up at different times of the year.” Some of these figures are senior center Tommy Hajicek, sophomore winger Dixon Bowen and freshman winger Tanner Tweeten. Hajicek scored a team-high 20 goals and had 23 assists. East Grand Forks is a young team, relying on a handful of freshmen and sophomores to produce. The only tournament qualifier the Green Wave played this season was Class 2A’s Moorhead, and EGF lost 4-3.
