If the Wild win it will be because of Backstrom. Both the Wild and the Blackhawks are among the league lead in player payroll, actually the Wild spend more by 2 million dollars, part of that cap hit for the Wild reflects the MA Barker buy-out (hehe).... Fletch deserves credit for recognizing the talent of Nick Leddy, what a compliment by Babcock on how good the Hawks defense is....... The Wild have not played a team with their Boston Red Sox type payroll number until this game against Chicago, its about time and we will see what happens

Kudos to the Hawks on the streak, but it will be over in about 19 hours and a few minutes....

I admire your optimism marcus100254 and I hope you are correct. To vailidate your optimism the Wild need to bring the game they played on Sunday down to Chicago with them. What it comes down to is will the Wild bring Sunday's game with them or will they bring last Friday's game in Anaheim, where they started slow and then had to scratch and claw their way back just to come up short against a very good team on the road. At this point I think the Wild are moving forward and will play a good game tonight. This game tonight is an enormous test though.

Nice little streak for the Wild in the last 11 games. This contest with the Hawks could be very entertaining. As far as the Hawks fast start...I think that I would rather have my team get super hot at the end of the season not the beginning.

I really like the PMB, Heatley and Granlund line. Coyle looks great on line 1 and Zucker also gives us another scoring threat. Not to mention Brodin looks like our best defender. Props to the young guns for coming up big this year. The Wild have a bright future!

I don't expect anything to come as easily to Minnesota tonight as on Sunday. Chicago is way better than lowly Edmonton. The Wild have a chance, they played Chicago tough once already, they have to defend well and Backs has to bring it.
