This is a big (60 mill) gamble and Dayton can't say if it will succeed or not. WOW this sounds like a train wreck coming down the track's at full speed, But then again remember they had to pass it to see what was in it. Also remember the DEMOCRATS OWN ALL OF THIS, Good or BAD they own it. I have my money on massive failure. Good luck were all going to need it.

Oh, the government is our saviour! They are taking $1 and giving us $0.97 cents of product. Oh, wait. Next year it will be $0.96 worth of product. The following year it will be $0.95 since the cost of adminstration is so high. I remember when sales tax was 2% and it was never supposed to go any higher. This is your wake-up call.

..."An online marketplace that is taking shape will change the way one out of every five Minnesotans shops for health-care insurance"...***************************** ***************************************** If 80% of the people will not be participating in the exchanges why are 50% of the people in violent oppostion to the 20% that will be participating?

1. The Exchange will ping IRS data to verify eligibility for premium subsidy. 2. A non-elected (and therefore not accountable to the electorate) commission will decide which products can be sold on the Exchange. 3. Scrap the Exchange and divert $60+million annual operating cost to covering more of the uninsured would reduce MN uninsured rate from 6% down to 3%. He Strib, did your reporter really attend today's session? Why no mention of these salient objections raised today? And is there a grain of truth to them?

Cheaper than a football stadium that most folks will never be able to afford to get through the door!

If it is a train wreck, then it will be the second one to happen in my life time. The first is the run away locomotive known as the health care industry today. Don't believe me though; go out and buy yourself a copy of Time magazine and read for yourself. You can bet you won't hear a round table on fox news discussing that any time soon.

PS Assume the worst happens and my premiums go up. We were just notified that our premium is going up $50 per month despite having no claims what so ever. That is another $600 per year, with a high deductible and VERY limited (non existent is closer) insurance card. I already pay well over one fourth of my salary to health care. It cannot get worse so I welcome Obamacare. Don't hate my generation for this. We are trying to survive until we reach the age of Medicare without having to declare bankruptcy and THAT is the only reason we pay for the catastrophic insurance that is absolutely worthless. It does not give us health care protection, but does protect what we have acquired over the years which isn't much. It seems there is an answer for almost everyone and a gimmick for almost everyone out there. Low income get free programs. Group health people don't have a clue as to the cost if they had to buy their own. That leaves the small business people and older people who have not reached the age of Medicare getting socked again and again. Where is the republican plan to help us? Now, would you like to talk about death squads some more?

Great idea, but we all know how well state computer systems work. Any bets that this one will come out late and over cost?

Pretty hard to understand why we would want to have the exchange board elected. Why would this particular group be made political in a nonpolitical issue? The concept in play here is old, conservative and up until this reform a Republican bedrock. Remember also that the group using this exchange is a lot bigger than the uninsured. Those with health coverage throught their employer may tend to think that health coverage is just signing a piece of paper Muffy from Human Resources hands out to the annointed. Such innocents.

We're headed toward single payer in this country because hospital corporations and docs cannot stop raising prices 3x the rate of inflation every year. You are paying those greedy rate increases via a smaller paycheck and higher taxes.
