The Star Trib (using AP info) is trying desperately to make it look like the Catholic Church is in turmoil. Its interesting how you never read how the Lutherans, Evangelicals, Anglicans, etc. are all having internal issues tearing the denominations apart. The Star Trib only runs negative stories (where truths are fabricated) about the Catholics. Any liberal agenda involved?

The Catholic Church has enabled the sexual assault of children and fostered a system that has allowed that conduct to continue. The latest secrecy surrounding the accusation made in October demonstrates that this situation exists to this day. The Church has lost its moral authority. When you're a church, that means game over.

There isn't any question that the Lutheran church, the Episcopal church and other Christian organizations have their own difficulties and scandals. But the Catholic church has lost it's moral compass on such a grand scale, that it's hard not to pay attention. Like a fender bender on the freeway, there are going to be gawkers. And there seems to be a lot to gawk at right now.
