New Rochelle did not win the state title on this shot. The game was a section final to send New Rochelle to the state tournament.

nice how both teams are celebrating, then the guy in the maroon shirt makes the wave off motion and the eventual winning team isn't shown anymore. - Feel bad for the kid in the white that caught the initial pass - all he had to do was cover up the ball and take the foul.

I feel bad for the Mt. Vernon player who caught the deflected pass with 2.5 seconds left and threw the ball in the air. All he had to do was stand there and either time runs out and they win, or he gets fouled and they probably win. I don't know if he was shooting or passing or just throwing the ball in the air in premature celebration. I've seen a longer version of the video and this shot capped a 12-1 game winning run, so Mt. Vernon must have really felt stunned.
