Chris Fink learned the hard way about the power of the crowd when he caught A-Rod's first-inning home run and, after vowing he'd never do such a thing, threw the ball back on the field.

have some back bone out there...I saw it all on TV ...I would have kept it...always keep the 1st one...I liked to comment to the Yankee fans..."think you can buy everything" (they can...except a championship!) how did they take that anyway??

Reusse has powers you cannot begin to comprehend. His e-mail address deserves 2 pages.

I agree...I'm always waiting to read something more...something significant and I always grimace at that stupid end tag expecting more of the story. Both Pat and Jim get me, just can't seem to make it to the end of a Sid column.

Because this paper is going broke. Literally they need every single click they can get. Soon there will be one word per page.

I sometimes envied you growing up, but not today. Sometimes good people make dumb decisions. At least you made the news, and not in the crime section. I can't wait to read all the comments ripping on you!

Fink paused, took a sip from his beer bottle and said: "I found out the peer pressure is unbelievable. This is the first home run ball I've ever gotten.'' So you threw it back? Have some more beer and grow a back bone..idiot But yeah...your not on the crime section!

kudos to Chris for actually catching the ball - I've been to hundreds of games, and had never had the chance to catch a ball until a couple years ago, probably in the same section. When I saw the home run ball heading my way I stood up in excitement and anticipation, only to duck and cover, crying like a baby when it got close! The guy behind me bare-handed it as I lay on the floor with a shattered ego!!

Why even consider throwing back a HR from a future hall of famer?
