It's nice to get the win and I'm glad the Gophers took care of business against Indiana, but this is a "W" that would definitely been an "L" against any of the top seven teams in the league. The Gophers did not shoot well, and it was really the fact that the Indiana posts were completely over-matched against Riche that allowed the Gophers to stay in control for most of the game (Michella probably could have had 30 points if she hadn't missed so many chip shots). Fortunately, the inbounding was better at the end of this game than at the end of the Penn State game (but then, how could it be worse?). This game really highlights the factor that scheduling played in the Gophers 7-9 B1G record this season. I would gladly have exchanged "home and home" contests against Purdue and Illinois and road games against Wisconsin and Indiana for two games against Wisky and the Hoosiers and road games against Purdue and Illinois (even that would have left 6 games against Penn State, Nebraska and OSU - hardly a cakewalk), but such was not the draw. On the bright side, the Gophers head into the B1G tournament having won three of their last four and will face Ohio State on Thursday. They say that it is hard to beat a team three times in a year, but the Gophers are really the better team this year and it would be nice to see the "threepeat". Given the signature win against Penn State, a win against OSU would probably put them firmly on the bubble for the NCAA tournament and a follow-up win against Penn State, though improbable, would definitely put them in. JMHO. Go Gophers!

A remarkable finish to an up and down season for the Ladies. I like our chances in the B1G tournament given our record against the teams we will face but given that these will basically be road games, there's always a chance for a let down. I may just be selfish but I would rather see the Gophers in the WNIT tournament with the chance to host a couple of first round games than have them traveling to a one and done NCAA tourney. JMHO

Nice to see a road win and to finish 3-1 at the end of the regular season. Plus, 7-9 in the conference is marginally better than the last several years. This is a bad IU team that pushed the Gophers to the end, though. Banham had a good assists game but still has shooting issues; fortunately Riche stepped up. Looking forward to the OSU game as a test of what this team is made of.
