Souhan: A flier on Flip? It has two views, both fuzzy at best

Flip Saunders as the next Timberwolves general manager? That's either the best or worst idea the Wolves have had in the past year, depending on whether you prefer the world view or the traditional Wolves view.

Poor drafts (Wes Johnson, Flynn, Brewer, Avery, McCants) and bad coaching choices (Rambis, Whitman) have hurt the Wolves. In the draft you need some luck, T-Wolves haven't had any luck. Rubio and Love provide a nice core, hopefully someone can build on it.

Not taking Curry was a big big mistake. Fire the man who made that decision, period. Nobody can say for sure if Flip would have taken Curry, but from what I've seen of him, Saunders, it would have been a no brainer. With Curry and everyone healthy we win at least 50 games a year.

This re-hire, and it will happen at some point in time, is just another example of the nepotism-type behavior that mires the Wolves in mediocrity.

Would he really be better then Kahn? Yeah, Kahn botched Flynn and Wes Johnson. He also hit on Rubio, Shved, AK-47, and not signing K-Love to a max deal.

I'm not buying any more tickets until Taylor hires Sam Cassell as GM and Latrell Sprewell as VP of Operations. Am sure Latrell would now be available at an affordable price.
