Very nice job of bouncing back from an embarasing game Friday. Lets hope this kind of effort can be sustained for the rest of the year now. GO GOPHERS!!!

Nice to see the Gophs back on track crashing the net and beating the Pioners to those loose pucks. Wilcox was his uaual self stopping just about everything thrown at him. Can't say enough about the Gophers zone control where at times they looked like they were on the PP. They left no doubt in peoples mind who was the better team tonight by busting it wide open in the 3rd period. Go Gophs!!!!

Scary stat.....guess how many WCHA sweeps the Gophers have this year? #FAIL

eastbrook82Mar. 3, 13 7:12 AM many series sweeps does everyone else have?

wisstinks4Mar. 3, 13 8:01 AM

this inconsistency will not work in the WCHA, NCAA playoffs. they have talent, but cant put it together night after night. Drives everyone crazy. whats the deal with you coaches & kids?

MagicMar. 3, 13 8:04 AM

Win both games next weekend and the Gophers will get home ice for playoffs and a bye in the Final 5. Not to mention a very good chance to be Co-Champions of the MacNaughton Cup. Its not official quite yet, but a sweep next weekend also would assure the Gophers a #1 Seed in Grand Rapids for the NCAA's ------GO GOPHERS

Why don't they skip the first two periods and just play the third?

wisstinks4Mar. 3, 1311:39 AM

Wilcox is a bright spot along with the defense. Its the forwards that are killing this team, they cant finish for nothing. Drive the NET and make stuff happen. Jam it home, keep digging until its in the net. DOnt stop fighting for postion and for puck control. You have to want it more than the other team. Out work, out skate and prove that your worthy of the #1-2 ranking. Too bad Den. stole 2 important points here on Friday. Ramp it up next weekend in Bemidji and take 2 games!!!!

Good for the boys this time! I just don't get how they can play so flat in key games down the stretch. At times they look so disinterested, they remind me of their coach!

pede1scoMar. 3, 1312:21 PM

This year is the tale of two teams. The first team plays flat, can't complete a pass, and can't score. The second team plays crisp, clean, and scores as they should. It has been teh same story all year. Win one night and lose or tie the next. It will cost them the cup.
