PENITAS, Texas  – The border fence behind Manuel Zamora’s home suggests strength and protection, its steel poles perfectly aligned just beyond the winding Rio Grande. But every night, the crossers come. After dark and at sunup, too, dozens of immigrants scale the wall or walk around it.

We need border security before discussing amnesty. We tried it the other way before and it only made the problem worse.

As someone who has spent the last 15 years to get my mexican residancy. I understand how hard it is for a US citizen to recieve mexican residancy. I have witnessed how strong the mexicans protect their country and their borders why the US cannot do the same is beyond belief

Why not erect and end-end kilo-watt electric fence with warning signs only in English. The word will get out.....and fast. Just like a giant misquito zapper. That would stop much more. There should be no open crossings, gates with vehicle disabling baricades and tall moving fences, patrolled by agents with machine guns.

There is no 'comprehensive solution' until the fact that more will come in the future decades as long as there is work. Give employers the same tools ICE has and if not used, JAIL TIME for the hiring managers.

End Birthright Citizenship, jail CEO(s) for hiring them, stop educating, housing, giving them foodstamps and medicating and see how fast they quit coming.
