There are several indications pointing to the likelihood of former Timberwolves head coach Flip Saunders replacing David Kahn as president of basketball operations for the team before the 2013-14 season.

Hey Sid why the figures on the Vikings financial situation? Are you afraid they're losing money and need that billion dollar stadium to make it? Viking should be giving you a monthly check for your PR work.

I've wanted Saunders back (as coach, but GM would be nice too) since the moment he left. The coaches we've replaced him with pre Adelman were a complete joke and he lead this team farther into the playoffs than anyone else ever has.

I would like to see Saunders as GM. There is no way he be worse than Kahn.

Kahn chose Jonny Flynn... instead of Stephen Curry, Brandon Jennings or all-star Jrue Holiday. And he drafted and traded away Ty Lawson. It was Kahn who gave Brandon Roy a whopping $5 million deal for this season, even though it was a matter of when -- not if -- Roy went down with a knee injury. The injuries to Love, Rubio, Budinger, Howard, etc., are part of the game, but if Kahn had done a better job on draft day or free agent signings, the Wolves would be competitive. Can you imagine Rubio driving to the lane, then finding a wide-open Curry on the wing?

Kahn has earned the right to be fired even if this year has been destroyed by injuries. Most people would have drafted Curry or Cousins, but Kahn went Flynn and Johnson. Curry could have been or should have been an all-star this year. Cousins, despite his imature nature, is regarded as a high value asset and a player who if he puts it all together could be a dominate force in the NBA. It's not always better to think you're smarter than everyone else, like Kahn seems to do at times. I hated the Flynn and Johnson picks at the time and time proved me right. I had hoped so much I was wrong. I liked the D-Will pick and he is showing me something of late even though he plays the same position as K-Love. I do look at the other top 10 picks last year and think I might still take D-will at 2 if not for Kawhi leonard. That draft was awful, Klay Thompson and Kawhi Leonard were the best fits, but they were not even taken in the top 10. The Wolves are going to have a great pick again, I can't say that I have any confidence in Kahn making the right choice, but it seems there are a lot of great fits for the team this year in the draft. The Wolves injury plagued season has given them a chance to land a future stud in the draft. If they draft a guy who can be a future impact maker this season, the inuries could be a blessing in disguise.

I would love to know what Saunders rotation would have been last night in Portland, would he have went with a "no center" for most of the game.

I think Flip knows the game much better and has a much better sense of fitting talent together.

Kahn must go. Would prefer we keep Adelman and send Flip to save the Gophers from Tubby.

What has Flip done to deserve being GM of the Wolves? Nothing! This will prove to be yet another blunder on the part of Taylor. So enjoy another 5 years of ineptitude if Saunders is hired.
