Drillers now bore many wells from single drilling pad, making the process less expensive, Northern Oil says.

hmm. oil and gas costs drop but prices goes up at pump. at least propane is slightly cheaper for my grill. woohoo. but i spend $10 each yr on propane and $60 week on gas.

There is more to the price of gas then the oil. More oil on the GLOBAL market will cause oil prices to fall but there is still transportation and refining costs. Also, every Bakken article here has anti blue collar comments on it such as "looks like a dream", "great place to raise kids", "should have gone to college", etc. So queue anti working class comments in 3, 2, 1....

This once great nation could be energy independent in 5 years if Obama and his Progressives got out of the way. They are doing everything they can to starve America back into the dark ages because they feel American power in the world is a "destabilizing force" as opposed to the America that has freed hundreds of millions from oppression.

Actually, the predictable comments are like the ones you just made, mrprogressive. Any "good" news on drilling STILL isn't good and will NEVER be good. Why? Because as a progressive, you don't want it to be good. You'll read far more comments like yours over the "anti-working class" comments, especially in a liberal paper like the Strib.
