I don't think she has quite come up with an excuse for Iran in the 70's yet. Maybe she could study a little history? Or is this just another prime-time rant?

Coleen Rowley is an example of someone willing to speak truth to power. Without regard to career, she challenged the foundation of lies on which the invasion of Iraq was built. But, as her article points out, the work of confronting power is not done. In our names, for our benefit, the United States uses torture, barbaric detention, and drones that rain murder from the skies. How long will good people in America tolerate the violence America inflicts on others?

I'm glad I have proof of at least one ethical and honest FBI agent. While the exception does not disprove the rule, it is comforting that C.Rowley speaks truth to power and continues to lead by example. Imagine how nice her pension check would be if she could have stayed and played along like others did!

Bush and Cheney and the rest of the war criminals in that administration were never held accountable for their war crimes. Lying this country into war, torturing people, warrant less wire tapping, indefinite detention, outing a C.I.A. agent and war profiteering. When Obama decided not to pursue these criminals, he became one of them.

It is shocking to me that no one who pushed us into this horribly misguided war was ever punished for it. Thousands of Americans killed, over 100,000 Iraqis dead, all for nothing. Shameful.

Horse nonsense. The problem in Iraq was Colin Powell's doctrine of "you break it, you own it". Had America stuck precisely to the agenda at hand; destroying Saddam's WMD capability, his military, his government, and he and his associates including his ruthless sons, then left Iraq largely to Iraquis instead of the left's insistence that we need to "rebuild" what we took out, the Iraq war would have been over in months. Instead the left went full blown threat that anything less than rebuilding Iraq would be a war crime. Blame the left and Colin Powell for the time, money, and lives we spent in Iraq attempting to rebuild it only to see the first Democratic president, Obama, walk away from what his own base was demanding Bush do for 5 years.

Watched Argo last night. Once again the left had to demand Hollywood blame America for the Iranian revolution. Unbelievable.

OK. This is one column pretty much lacking for facts. It starts with the falsest of "false premises," aka that America was some neutral player with Iraq in 2003. "Author" Colleen would do well to review history = Bush 1 invaded Iraq and decimated Saddam's forces, but then left Saddam in power--> for Clinton. Clinton loved bombing in Iraq, records released by Britain detail almost 300 different Clinton-era days of American military strikes-->and he then left W to deal with this mess of all messes (plus, as a bonus, Osama Bin Laden). Of course, after 911, W laid out in his 2003 SOTU why Saddam couldnt be left in power (hint-->it was NOT wmd's)........ Rowley retired in 2004, and I really doubt her know-it-all, hindsight attitude has been missed by her colleagues. Indeed, America had two WTC terrorist bombings during her razor-sharp tenure, but NO domestic terrorist bombings since she left. Or am I forgetting some? Hmmmm.......

Her agenda is simple: Demonize Bush, Cheney and the GOP. She has made a career out of it. Claiming that Bush has committed war crimes is nothing more than an emotional response which exposes her hate for him and all things conservatives.
