Wis. salon shooter asked taxi driver's advice

MILWAUKEE - A man who shot his estranged wife and six others before killing himself at a Wisconsin salon asked a taxi driver on the way there for marital advice, according to police reports released Friday.

I wonder if Senate Majority Leader Tom Bakk has heard of this tragedy. In this case at least a back ground check would have postponed these deaths and there's a real possibility it could have prevented them. Why are we willing to trade people's lives for convenience?
