"No Republicans signed the congressional brief."- - - To be clear, this is why their party is doomed for "the big fall." Make no mistake, when your ideology becomes more important than people, whether is marriage equality or fairer distribution of wealth through a taxation system, people will walk with their votes. The Republicans are doomed and do not seem to want to change.
