The National Association of Home Builders is hyping sprawl, I mean, growth? What a crazy world we live in. The hard hitting investigative journalists at the Strib should see what the International Council of Shopping Centers has to say about all this.

Just because a lie is repeated over and over again doesn't make it the truth. There hasn't been a new house built in my new neighborhood since 2006.....

@ Truckman182: Just because no one is building in your neighborhood doesn't mean it's not happening. In my short morning commute there are three new single-home construction projects. Four if I include my own.

There hasn't been a new house built in my neighborhood since probably around 1930. But people are spending tons remodeling and expanding, and prices are better than ever. Maybe people would just rather live in walkable communities with character.

Does this mean that my house value will go back up after losing 35K, sorry all you people that think this is so great but I don't not until us homeowners that lost money on our homes at least can recoup some of the value back.
