Boehner just recessed the House, again! Another long weekend, no work, and after a 10-day vacation. Boehner, when will the House be at work and not on vacation??????

"when will the House be at work"...I think the article states that even if the House passed a third bill the Senate would not vote on one.

Sorry John those two bills were DOA at the Senate. Both made an attempt at defunding Obamacare plus removing from the sequester the cuts to the Republican's pet causes. Neither bill had a single Democrat vote and even cause some Republicans to defect. If you want something passed John, send something passable.

What percent of Americans think government spending is too much?

Just watched Maxine Waters, the unbelievably stupid Dem from California say if sequestration happens up to 170 million jobs could be lost. Earth to brain dead Maxine Waters, there aren't even 170 million people employed in the United States.

It's comforting to know that team Obama just gave the Syrian opposition 60 million dollars. I wonder if Obama will mention this as he travels around America telling us our children are going to die, ships will cease being built, and layoffs are coming because of our current economic situation. Good to know Obama is tightening the purse strings, right? Oh, and did you see his year five estimated budget deficit is running around 1.4 trillion dollars? Anyone wonder how we have added six plus trillion dollars to our deficit under this economic wizard?

Here is what the Republicans should have done. They should have said fine to tax increases. EVERYONE gets a 1% tax increase. Then the Democrats would have had to explain to obama why they voted against a "balance" of tax increases and cuts. That would have been funny!

Lockstep--- The sad thing is, if we give money to countries that we owe money to for disaster relief, it is NOT subtracted from our debt. If anyone ran a business like the gov't runs the country, they would be fired and then prosecuted!

On Tuesday, the startribune ran a story that because of the sequester cuts "More than 1,000 Minnesota children would be forced off Head Start". But today, Obama gave $60 million to Syrian rebels. How about cutting aide to rebels and taking care of AMERICAN kids.

How about passing a bill that doesn't gut the middle class in order to continue the money funnel to the top 1%? Maybe if Boehner's disfunctional House noticed that 75% of the country favors a balanced approach, something might get done, but I doubt it. When dealing with ideologues, only the stick seems to have any effect. Save the carrot for rational human beings.
