No, no it didn't Sid. One win in feb, at home, does not silence the entire body of Tubbys incredibly underwhelming time here. You're doing nobody any favors with your blind homerism and acting like the PR wing for the athletic dept.

Hey Sid, weren't you the one who told us the Gophs could contend for the Big 10 title this year? If you weren't wrong then, this win should have come as no surprise. But when you lose to N'Western, Purdue, and Ohio State the way this team did, no one's job should be safe.

Sid, Sid, Sid. A great win yes, but how about all of the miserable losses over the years? How about finishing no better than 6th place? How about not winning an NCAA tournament game? Very average stuff Sid. You forgot about those. Lets see how the season finishes. Everyone says they should win out, well, lets see what happens.

First of all, the players got together on their own, away from the Coach, and took it upon themselves to get the job done against Indiana. Secondly, let this team prove themselves by winning the next three games in the Big Ten. That is by no means a guarantee. Thirdly, this should be Tubby's last year at Minnesota. Bring in Flip. At the end of last season, I saw the talent on this team and picked them to be a top ten team in the nation. That they were until they succembed to the overbearing and robotic offense that this coach loves to run. Talk about choking the life out of a talented team. I think the players got together and decided to do it their way and it showed by their performance on the court against Indiana.

Sid you love these inept and incompetent coaches. It amazes me. Yeh, Flip Saunders needs to be coaching the Gophers and he will. He will be coaching the gophers in atleast two years.

I have to agree with the board and not with Sid on this one. I love my Gophers and beating the #1 Hoosiers was an awesome thing to watch but Tubby has not been, is not now, and will not ever be the kind of coach that will ever take this program to anything but NIT contenders. If he were, those three blue chip HS juniors would have already committed to the U...

Silence--I don't think so. The post game interview was like he lost his best friend??? Tubby still can not recruit. It looks like some thing is going on between Tubby and the team--and it is not good.

One game does not make a season. What happened the last 6 weeks will repeat itself again and again. Time to move on.

Sometimes teams win because of their coach, and sometimes they win in spite of him. That's what happened.
