"He acknowledges many people may not immediately notice the full impact of the so-called sequester cuts if they take effect Friday."---And that is what he and his party fear the most. If the sequester goes through and nobody bats an eye, then the threat of total calamity the next time spending cuts are proposed loses all force. And the house of cards collapses.

He makes it sound like we're cutting the budget in half. People would be surprised to learn that the budget actually grows.

take 85 billion out of the defense budget problem solved. The republicans getting pressure from their defense contractor masters would act then.

Wow. we sure wouldn't want to damage the Obama economy. Spending 11 dollars for every 4 we take in has been working so well.

Raising the social security taxes took $125bil out of the economy, but somehow we should believe that this next $85bil is going to break the economy? I think Obama is just setting the public up for the double dip recession we entered in Q4 2012 and wants to get ahead of Q1 2013 GDP so he can blame Republicans.
