First of all the Department of Defense does not address issues concerning veterans; that is done by the Department of Veterans Affairs.Yes, we should have a collaborative Congress but not a complacent one.Tough questions were not asked by Congress before and during the Vietnam war.Before too long, Johnson and MacNamara had 500,000 American troops on the ground. Today we face an aggressive China who wants to project its military power including in the Middle East.It needs oil as badly as we do.
Hagel needs to step down and save the country from his anti-Semitic beliefs.
