I'm glad the men are safe. But isn't the whole idea of a sailboat is to get around without power????

Sailboats almost always have auxiliary power. Maybe these guys were counting on the motor as they were ignorant of the sailing thing. Still, I would have learned fast and hoisted a sail out of desperation anyway. Either way, they can't be Einsteins if they couldn't read a chart and a compass even if they lost power to the GPS. Or how about sailing into the setting sun guys?
