No matter what happened in the end tonight, this team can't score, and it'll lose four of its next five. Even with the win tonight, there's a chance they'll stay in the 11th spot. It's high time to fire Mike Yeo. This is gross; it doesn't work. In his two years as coach, the Wild recorded the lowest goals for total since the last lockout in his first season, and in his second season, this team has recorded the lowest goals for total in the league once again. This isn't about being snake bitten, or unlucky, or due to injuries last year. This is a case of Chuck Fletcher bringing in one type of player and Mike Yeo trying to fit that player into a different mold. There's no way Mike Yeo will still be the coach of this team after the Nashville game on March 9th, so why not fire him in the morning and actually save the season before its too late. Lindy's waiting for your call, Chuck.

BORING AS HELL! Glad I gave up my season tick's years ago. No goals, grit and no go...........

Backstrom played very well. Too many bad penalties. Coyle was getting there late on his checks tonight and then hitting high and from behind.....really bad ! I wonder how many goals they could score and games they could win if everyone played as hard as Parise ?

That's Yeo's syestem, huh. THAT'S how he wants to win games... Wear them down (and the fans) and hopefully score in the last minutes. I'm officially done with this horrible excuse for a hockey team. I bought in to the "rebuilding" years, then it was "a new coach" then it was "no time to practice"... Excuse after horrible excuse.

omg ... russo is the best beat writer in town, but you blogheads (yes, trolls), absolutely ruin it for the rest of us fans ... of course, i'll be flagged by the blog police for this comment while the rest of you trollheads can roam free - what a shame strib, jus sayin...

These guys might be saving themselves for the 2014 Olympics? Appears to be for the womens figure skating events!

To read these posts one would think the Wild had lost tonight. Folks, take wins any way they come. If you want to watch pretty skating for two hours go see Disney on Ice. If you want to see clocks get cleaned for two hours watch MMA. Winning ugly is better than losing pretty. Get that through your heads!

i just root for my Minnesota teams win or lose. I want them to play well and i want them to win. I agree with you...kcfrand...i get tired of the whiners on here. I shouldn't read the posts because most of the time they are just stupid, but once in a while I enjoy what somebody writes so I end up reading. "everybody plays the same system" Parise' said, but the guys on this blog know better...what a joke!

hey caferev...i'm not waiting for the call..oh sorry that's another lindy....serioiusly the goal scorer Fletch traded away or let go/Lats yeh big and 35 to 40 goals a year...even Havlet...scores more or as much as Seto that's why they don't score goals THEY DON'T HAVE GOAL SCORERS...they atleast can get a big dman who can put the puck on the net and score goals or creat shots to tip in...telling tale here...Wild dmen are last...last in the NHL in shots on won't get anywhere NEAR a cup with that stat
