The article makes an unfortunate reference to how many people "get Eagle" (their quotes). NOBODY "gets Eagle"; everyone who attains the rank of Eagle "EARNS Eagle". I assume that includes this young man. He should be congratulated for sticking with it and earning the rank and obligation of Eagle.

On a similar note to yearous' comment, the caption for the picture of the medals in the paper said that the medals were "won" by Mr. Spragg. One does not win these medals, they are very much earned. I am incredibly disappointed with the verbage used by the author and I feel that she owes a very, very deep apology to the subject of this story for belittling his great achievement.
