Discolored water from some Minneapolis taps not a cause for worry

Residents in parts of south Minneapolis saw discolored water flowing from their taps Tuesday, but it’s not a health hazard if consumed.

If government tells me that brown tap water is clean and healthy, I believe them. Don't you?

I keep waiting for the official to actually drink/eat/do whatever it is they are saying is safe for the cameras.

Those minerals are rust. It will stain your clothes and contaminate your water heater. I had to replace my water heater (several years ago) for just this reason. I'd like to see our city officals drinking this stuff.

I wish they'd at least give us advance notice if they're going to be performing this kind of maintenance. Walking a few blocks to pick up bottled water for drinking isn't a big deal, but there's no way I'm going to do my laundry in rusty water.
