The problem I have with people like this is that by putting all the blame on the dealer for selling the drugs, they remove all blame from the user for CHOOSING to take drugs. This wasn't some high school sophomore who got talked into taking drugs at a cool kid's party. This was a 24-year-old man who went to the shop of his own free will and asked for advice on how to get high. And after reading the original article that was linked to, I don't see any indication that Daddy is putting blame on anyone but the big bad man at the store who sold the drugs to his "kid". Yes, it is very painful to face the fact that someone you love is an idiot or an addict...but acting like they're a blameless victim of the drug pushers means they can avoid taking responsibility for their actions, so it will be even harder to get them clean.

As a father myself, I would be upset with my son and also upset with the dealer making a very good profit selling dangerous chemicals to people that they probably know are addicted. They are no different then dealers selling on the street corner. I would want to do the same thing as the father in the article.
