Perhaps Puppetmaster Pope is more appropriate, from the sound of the article.

This could be a chance for the Catholic church to really show that they are listening to what the people want and start to act more progressive. I, and hundreds of thousands of others in Minnesota, would like to see someone other than a heterosexual white male as the new pope. It would be a sign of peace by the Catholic church if they new pope would be a member of the gay community or Jewish in order to be more inclusive and reflect the communities they serve. I see this as a chance for hope and change within the Catholic church and a chance to really renew their image.

Does anyone really care what they call the pope or what he wears? Come on people. Think about the institution he represents? Scandal anyone?

A gay or a Jewish Pope? LOL! We'll see that when Rome hires an non internal, independent, third party investigation (with international carte blanche access to all records and subpoena power)to root out, prosecute and jail every sheltered clergy member known to have abused a child within their "sacred" duties.

"While he will no longer wear his trademark red shoes, Benedict has taken a liking to a pair of hand-crafted brown loafers made for him by artisans in Leon, Mexico."////This is an actual sentence in this article, written by someone who clearly left her journalistic dignity at the curb.

Glad to see they have tackled all the difficult questions so he knows what to wear when he wakes up on Friday morning.

Starpaper Are you really serious with that comment? A Jewish pope? How about Vladimir Putin as the next President of the US?
