There is always going to be more to this story than the public will truly know. Right or wrong, it doesn't really matter that the school reduced the suspensions. The damage has been done. The players missed the hockey game and the team lost. I sure hope the suspensions were justified.

Typical pin head administrators. They hide behind data privacy or zero tolerance policies because their too inept to ever make a decision. These are the same ones who think a spork is dangerous weapon.

A little late now. The $75 tickets are utterly ridicules.

So dancing on tables is ok, no law suits would have been filed if someone got hurt.

This is too little too late. The principal needs to be put on an unpaid suspension. Clearly he doesn't care about these students and their futures. They put hundreds of hours of work into preparing for the playoffs and weren't even given a chance to defend themselves. We still haven't been told what they did wrong that would justify punishing the hockey players that weren't involved by forcing a loss.

Principal Keith Randklev's obvious knee-jerk reaction was over the top and hopefully he will be relieved of his office.

Here's how this should have been handled. The kids should have been suspended for one school day to be done on Monday or Tuesday. They should have been allowed to play their hockey game. And the police should not have been involved at all. The police are there to protect the children, not to charge them with silly crimes.

Take away the tickets, reduce the suspensions, give the kids all the apologies you want. Game is over and so are their careers. The damage is done.

And when these kids get a DWI the parents will blame the cops.
