Not so great for my team, but great for Minnesota. This is truly the state of hockey.

This would really be sweet if SCSU could finish strong & win the WCHA this year. This really has been an exciting conference to watch, very sorry to see the changes that will be coming next year.Change is inevitable, but at the same time continuity for the fans and players is important and should not be taken so lightly as it appears to lately given the numerous changes that keep coming in college sports.

Patrick, one name you forgot in your article is Brendan McDonald. During my days in St. Cloud, I sat next to McDonald in the often nearly empty arena where the SCSU hockey team played its games and I would chuckle as the president of the school told me of his plans to make SCSU a Division 1 hockey program. President McDonald got the last laugh and deserves some recognition.

Still four games to go. This is not over, not by a long shot.

go4life- agreed. However, if SCSU goes 2-2 UND and UM would need to go 3-1 to tie except SCSU has the tie breaker on both. In order to win the McNaughton outright UM or UND need to go 3-0-1 or better assuming SCSU can at least go 2-2.

"the American Legion club on the west bank of the Mississippi River." I'm wracking my brain trying to remember such a club...are you sure about this, Patrick?

Great article, once again Reusse is way ahead of the curve. Is the Baxter mentioned at the end of the article the same man who was the long-time coach of Minneapolis West High School varsity hockey team? Perhaps a reader could expand?

Reusse is the guy who brags about never having been to a high school tourney game, as if it's a point of pride. Nice that he took the time to write about St. Cloud's season, but I doubt he's watched a single one of their games.
