Hopefully this will only be the beginning. If they can go undefeated in the playoffs and win the National Title, again, that would set a record that NEVER could be beaten; maybe tied but never beaten. Good luck gals, bring it home again. And maybe this will be the beginning of a WHOLE GOPHER SPORTS turnaround.

TREMENDOUS accomplishment. The Gophers womens hockey team has done something that will NEVER be matched. They have established this astounding 42 consecutive-win-record without using even a single shoot-out. Even if some team could somehow manage to challenge this record ..... do you think any team could do so without winning a single game by shoot-out?? That would put an asterisk by any team that did manage to do it. The Gophers have set a ton of records this season and now all we need is for Noora raty to get a shut-out in the playoffs so she can own the all-time NCAA record for shutouts in a career by herself. She already owns the record for all-time wins in a career. These women have made us all proud and will probably go down in U of M history as the greatest team of all time. To me ... winning the national championship will guarantee that. I'm so very proud of you guys. WAY TO GO GOPHERS!!
