This story should not be buried two clicks away from the Home Page. Regardless, congrats to the entire team.

You know, I think the Star Tribune is being paid by the professional teams. The lady Gophers do something NO OTHER TEAM has ever done, going undefeated for the season and the wrestling team comes back for a great win and the Stribe shows each story in the bottom of their paper. All the losing professional teams get the highest ink. Way to go Stribe.

National Champions, enough said!

Any National champion should lead any newspaper. This is front page news. We all now should get behind U's teams and cheer hard.

Great job! True TEAM victory. The best wrestling team in the country. The crowd was small but feisty. We needed the Rouser after Nelson's pin, and the attempt by fans was full of heart but needed University support, which was next door. The best show last night was in the Barn.

Iisn't a "pro vs amatuer" bias on the part of he Strib. It is a bias against hockey, wrestling and other minor sports. Look at the massive amount of coverage a losing Gopher football team gets year after year and the amount of coverage a very unpredictable gopher basketball team gets compared to pereniel conference and national champs in the wrestling and hockey teams.

Great job, once again, by the Gophers wrestlers. Coach J. Rob. has been a rock at the U of M for decades. For a long, long time, his wrestlers were one of the only bright spots at the U of M. How can anything be more satisfying than to beat the Hawkeyes in wrestling?? ... especially to take a national duals title out of their grasp?? ..... There's been a tremendous amount of progress in all sports at the U that aren't called basketball and football. Look at the mens and womens swimming teams' dramatic rise since they built the aquatic center on campus. The mens and womens gymnastics teams are rock solid, and so are the mens and womens track and field teams. ......... Maybe that practice facility for the BB team isn't such nonsense after all. Look at what our swimming teams have done after building that aquatic center. The swimming teams moved from nowhere to perennial top 25 almost immediately. The women just won their 2nd Big Ten championship in a row this weekend. The new bierman facility has dramatically improved the quality of the track and field programs. I say get the BB team the practice facility, and get it done now.

P.S. .......... The new BB practice facility should include a brand new locker room and practice facility for the Gophers wrestlers. They've certainly earned it, and it's about time they got the respect they deserve.

I believe the new BB practice facility will cover both men's and women's BB as well as a state-of-the-art wrestling practice facility, similar to what the Athletic Department viewed at NB. Hopefully, we'll see some details soon so that Norwood can FINALLY get started on this promise to become competitive with other B1G schools after 6 years of talking. Enough talk -- time for some action, Norwood.
