With strike deadline near, Twin Cities janitors reach deal

One day before a planned strike deadline, Twin Cities janitors and their employers reached a tentative agreement Saturday afternoon on a three-year contract. But security guards who are part of the same union will go into Sunday with no talks planned and a midnight strike deadline looming.

Good for them. I am betting Target and the others can afford to give the janitorial staff a raise.

Good for them! This is moving in the correct direction. When EVERY American receives a livable wage salary and benefits, we can then start moving from around 25th place in the world back towards the top 10. I have a thousand times more respect for the people who do these jobs than CEO's and others who just sit around all day.
